its a shag, but can also be called surfer dude, and a bunch of other names that dont matter. i think the most used or recent term is shag, so if you want to ask for it i'd just call it a shag and i think they'll get the pic. you might want to watch what they're doing just incase you get a freak as a stylist who thinks a shag means a skin head and he shaves your head. <=0

It is just a shag. Get a picture and show it to your stylist. We don't like it when people try to name styles- for many reasons. If you come in and want a shag, it could be a long shag (think Farrah Fawcett) or a very short shag (think Janet from 3's Company...yeah I know these are girls but the cut is the same..it is just styled different)
Anyway, it saves on guessing on your hairdressers part. Sometimes you won't get a hairdresser that will ask you a bunch of questions. They will just cut it how they see a shag in their heads. You should see the mess that happened in our salon when this woman came in and told her hair dresser that she wanted a pixie. The hair dresser was thinking Annie Lennox and the woman was thinking more Haley Barry...about 3 inches difference.

Picture is so small it is hard to tell even when I magnified it. My guess is a short shag or a style based on a layered bob. It does look great and a few well place highlights or even low lights will make it 'rock'!!
