I have about six tatoos , most people are shocked when they see it as they see I look very inocent.(not sure what a person with tatoos is suppose to look like ??? I find it is a stereo type !!!)
well my sister in law brags and boasts about my husbands sons mother who by the way has five children for five different men .The fact that she is the perfect catholic !!! Though I am the only one of them who was brought up going thorugh a private catholic all girls school , due to experiences that happen in my life I come to feel that many people hide what they are by claiming they are catholic ! So I guess now I believe more in the virtue of people and not by the religious sector they decide to go under . I am stereotyped by them as being imoral ...but I have never sat waitting in front of a stip club ( as they have bragged about !!!) waitting for -horny men to pick up .So why are they walking around saying they are Holy !!!
Plain and simple I don't judge people by the way they look...

I don't think there is anything wrong with having tattoos. Nowdays everyone has tattoos Christian and non-Christian alike. Don't waste time worrying about what others think.

I have two tatts. One is on my bicep (a horse) & the other is very visable on the back of my hand. (a rose) It's funny, but a lot of people don't notice the one on my hand, I don't know why. I've interviewed for jobs & even worked closely with people for five or six years before they ever did notice.

Can't quite figure that out because it's a fairly large rose. lol

Then again, it's sometimes been noticed right away....but those times are few & far between.

As for the Holy Talkers....(No, I'm not telling anything about my personal beliefs & religion, though it would shock many people)....Let's just say that when I was searching for answers about God, life, the universe, and everything.....I was allowed into a couple of churches of Christian denomination, but it was readily apparent that almost everyone was looking down their noses in judgment & they DID notice the tatts immediately.

Some of what I heard them saying didn't make me want to stick around for very long either. The usual was much as you've already stated, followed by "It's a sin!"

That was more than enough for me & needless to say, I sought answers elsewhere with more compassionate people.

Christianity is stupid period. Tatoos are or should be personal to the person that gets them, they represent strength in what you feel and believe. They just have a bad rap from the past history of tatoos, and now every idiot on the block has one, its like a fad now, kind of like Harley motorcycles. People who judge others tend to be the real hypocrites.

Not quite sure what you're asking.....Have I found that most people equate having tattoos with being immoral? Yes. People get tats for any number of reasons i.e. in memory of a loved one who's passed or to mark a personal triumph or tragedy in their life, some just because they like them. Just because we have tattoos doesn't mean we're any less moral than anyone else. BTW I have 5 tats myself and getting ready to add another one, doesn't mean I'm a barfly looking for one night stands all the time or whatever...

The person that responded saying tattooing your body is a sin should be eaten by an animal of some kind.

The bottom line is; most people are hypocrites, and it is far easier to judge other people than it make an honest evaluation of their own lives. Morality has more to do with what you do when you think no one is looking than it does how you choose to look.

I find that people who have to tell everyone that they are Holy are usually full of holes. Those that live a Holy existence know there is nothing to gain by boasting of this lifestyle. Actions over words will be the true test of character

Many people hind behind a religion to justify what they do is right.
I don't pay any attention to them - just ignore them and walk on by.
