Not a great chance at all. The disease is passed from mother to baby so there is far more danger to the baby if the mother has hep b. Please note though that hep b is transmitted via blood, saliva, open sores and other methods that won't impact the baby. However, due to the methods I mentionned, please get your baby vaccinated for hep B asap to prevent accidental infection via contact with your partner (like a cut on his finger, a blister, etc). Your doctor will tell you how soon he feels this needs to be done to protect your child but ask him and be sure he knows your partner has hep b! (I'm an R.N.)

I would be very careful because there is always a chance. Ask your doc to explain the dangers to you.
