it depends on your birthday. have a look at the saints calendar below and see which saint matches to your birthday. if there is no saint then look for the next day which does have a saint.

Saints can be associated with towns, occupations, and other things, I suppose, so to know your saint, you'll have to find a list of saints and their respective associations and see which ones you share.

"What is a patron saint?

Patron saints are chosen as special protectors or guardians over areas of life. These areas can include occupations, illnesses, churches, countries, causes -- anything that is important to us. The earliest records show that people and churches were named after apostles and martyrs as early as the fourth century. Recently, the popes have named patron saints but patrons can be chosen by other individuals or groups as well. Patron saints are often chosen today because an interest, talent, or event in their lives overlaps with the special area. For example, Francis of Assisi loved nature and so he is patron of ecologists. Francis de Sales was a writer and so he is patron of journalists and writers. Clare of Assisi was named patron of television because one Christmas when she was too ill to leave her bed she saw and heard Christmas Mass -- even though it was taking place miles away. Angels can also be named as patron saints.A patron saint can help us when we follow the example of that saint's life and when we ask for that saint's intercessory prayers to God."

Your saint will most likely fit one of three criteria

1. their feast day is on your birthday
2. you are named for them (or share the same name)
3. is the patron of the city you were born, the job you do, or a cause that you are passionate about.

This is just a general list, your saint could also be the patron of your situation, for example if you have a Skin disease, then St. Antony the Abbot could be your saint

Only Catholics have patron saints as far as I'm aware. So ask somebody you know is Catholic. I believe it has something to do with the date of your birth though.

Choose one! Do not worship a Saint, that is wrong, pray to the Lord and put no one above Him!

All believers in Christ are Saints, the church does not have to make us a saint.

You may have heard about "feast days" from people of the Roman Catholic faith. They have saints based upon special days in their lives (birthdays).

I think it's important to remember holy people in history, but I don't believe we should revere saints, nor pray to them, nor give them devotions. God was very specific in how we show Him devotion, and it is to Him that we show devotion.

Here's a link to a Roman Catholic Calendar of saints:

The first time I heard of this was when I was dating a guy from Cuba.He said that it is determined be when you were born, sort of like your zodiac sign.He said that everyone has an assigned saint, and that in order to get prayers to GOD faster you should take it to your saint first and that he/she could get it there.I disagree personally, because my BIBLE tells me that through Jesus my prayers will be answered.Which is why when ending a prayer I say "in the name of JESUS...Amen"

Having a saint is a pagan ritual adopted by the Roman Catholics. it is not a Christian practice in the bible.
