Why? Wasn't Jesus Jewish? Israel has been the land of the Jews since Biblical time. And, there are alot more Muslims in the area than there are Christians. So---you are third man on the totem pole.

Jesus was Jewish.

Israel was the home land of Jews for centuries, and was now established by Jews as a new Jewish state.
Why would you think that Christians have more affinity to the place than Jews?

Jesus was a jew. But the jewish religion and the Christian religion are two different things. The jews follow the teachings of the old testament, and not what Jesus preached.

Christians follow the teachings of the old and new testament, which include the teachings of Jesus.

Jews believe that Jesus was not the messiah, that he was a prophet.

By the end of 2004, 76.2% of Israelis were Jewish; 16.1% were Muslim; 2.1% were Christian; 1.6% were Druze; and 3.9% were "unclassified." So unless there was some massive movement of Jews out of Israel and others into it, I think Israel is still mostly Jewish.

I don't appreciate those comments about Jews. I'm Jewish and my feelings are hurt. Remember that Jesus was Jewish. And I don't care about its Christian history. Its one of the most beautiful countries.Jews are not cheap. Now that is one VERY RACIST comment.
