i have not interviewed with an airline, but i have interviewed and landed jobs with 6 figure incomes. now i own a multi-million dollar a year company and i hold the interviews. granted your office has a much nicer view... =) but on a side note i am practicaly underneath the short final for KSNA, so i basicaly watch airplanes land all day =)
the stress levels can be near the same i would imagine. confidence is key. doubt and fear are your enemies. the most important word in any interview is TEAMWORK. your sole responsibilities as an individulal are small in comparrison to interacting with those around you to achieve a common goal.
remember that every person they interview is going to say how great they are and what they have accomplished and that they are the best on the planet. you would not be in an interview if you did not achieve some kind of greatness. personally what i look for is a candidate that is more than willing to grow beyond what they have already done, and expresses it. how are you going to be an appreciating asset to the company? how are you going to be an example to your peers and earn the respect of your bosses?
i am in a super competative market and deal with highly charged salesmen/women. it is an industry where performance is judged evertime an action is made. much like being a pilot, one mistake can cost you dearly. i have to watch out for the types that i think may harm the company as well as themselves [as in not make any $$]. humility goes a long way....
i hope this is more along the lines you wre looking for.
and for what it's worth i would give up this desk for a flight deck without a second thought. i almost have my private license and have plans to get checked out all the way to aerobatics...
good luck!

You have a PILOT interview with AWAC ???
Well then you will already know what is required as you will have carried out your surveillance training on Hercules, and only if you are successful will you be selected from the current squadron complement.
Oh, and when you are next at RAF Waddington I would be delighted to meet you - you know just by the station Vulcan!!

Know your instrument flight rules and emergency procedures, think before you answer (remember your checkrides with the FAA) same type of tricky questions. Also by fellow CFI just got hired he said they like it when the person on the interveiw sets still and does not move alot in the chair. Hope this helps, when your done you can post your interview tips on my website (redid the background)

Yea, before the interview, it helps if you go to flight school. Then, crack open a beer and say "I really do know how ta FLY ya know!"
Then, put down the beer and say "JUST KIIIDDING" and act serious the rest of the interview. It will really loosen everyone up.

Treat it like any other serious interview. Don't lie about your hours or planes you have flown.

Don't take a handgun to the interview, but ask the interviewer if you can bring one to work.
