Like the guy above me, I own my own business and think I am pretty fair.

I charge less for my services than other companies and still manage to make a fairly good size profit. My employees are pretty happy, the suppliers like working with me and I have 95% return business, and the other 5% is one time only and pain in the rear customers that will NEVER be happy.

Isn't capitalism marvelous. There is an old saying that you can tell when a salesman is lying because his lips are moving. There are some honest companies out there, but those who center there policies around complete honesty are few and far between. I think this is because most CEO's are not trained recognize honesty, but only opportunity, and set corporate policy accordingly. Stockholders are concerned about results, not integrity, and will quickly liqidate stock that does not perform well. Most of the companies that I personally know to be honest do not participate in the stock market except to invest, they do not offer their companies to stock purchasers.

I own my own company, and I bend over backwards...to the point of all but absurd, to make sure that each of my customers is happy with product. And, by and large, 99% of my customers come back again and again. Then, there is that 1% that NO ONE can please, no matter what anyone does...those people get a notation on their address data base file that says, "DO NOT SELL TO THIS PERSON". And sure enough, they call back, wanting to order again, and the order is politely declined. So you see, it works both ways in business. I could NOT do business in even a remotely dishonest way...I like to sleep at night...

I think Bath & Body Works is a pretty fair company. And as much as I hate to admit it, Starbucks is apparently very good to its employees and suppliers.

But you're right... most suck.
