Gays and Lesbians can be married. It would be a stupid thing to do though. Because it is a sin against God's purpose.
God's purpose is for a man to find his woman & they become one flesh. God has a special blessing in the relationship where the man finds his woman.

Because discrimination is based on race, religion, sex, age or national origin (see the government website below). Says nothing about sexual orientation, and since we live in a justice system that runs off of case law it seems legal to not allow them to get married. Yay! That's freedom, that's what I like about democracies, people get to put their two cents in. We should keep track of the demographics of this state you mentioned. Maybe it's just a ploy for them to raise the population in turn the economy and per capita should follow. In the mean time I plan on watching my back, squeezing my butt cheeks, and going on with life until my town gets changed to San Fransisco 18. Then maybe we wont have an immigration problem anymore, well we might but they will be French this time around.
Plus there is (supposed) to be a separation between government and religion. I believe in that, let the big guy handle it in the supreme court in the sky.

Americans have a great deal of love for freedom but we're also screwed up on the topic of religion. God has nothing to do with Gays and Lesbians getting married. We've been having monogmous unions for as long as straight people. Mine is almost 26 years now...yes, a monogamous relationship. Yet I can't get on my partner's insurance and we technically have no "rights". Don't go spouting Leviticus and Paul to me. Jesus said nothing about gays and lesbians and I'm certain he's more than kind of crabby that you "good" Christians are persecuting your brothers and sisters. Take the plank out of your own eye before you try and take the mote out of mine...and quit trying to look into my bedroom. I don't look into yours.

I don't think God is as homophobic as you are. Because America is a Free country I think that's all the more reason to allow gays and lesbians to get married. They aren't hurting anyone so what's the big deal?

who really care if jack is f***ing john, they are the ones who have to answer to God about it in the end anyways. So, 1) it is not your place to judege it's Gods 2) get over it you didn't make the rules so you don't have to enforce them . so in conclusion go and find a new hobbie, or find something else to complain about like oil prices or the fact the american public voted a chimp it to office.

Where is the respect for the individual? It's easier to prove that an individual exists than that god exists.
Besides, the first amendment guarantees freedom of religion. That includes freedom FROM religion.

Where is the respect for this country? The beautiful thing about it is that people can repect and believe in a god or not, as they choose.

Don't worry, the US is spiraling toward theocratic fascism just like you want. The crap about freedom is just stuff we tell school children to make sure they pay taxes and fight wars for us while remembering to always ask the government for permission before doing anything.

Well, gays and lesbians do exist, and they are human beings with the same right as you and me to be happy. Does God exist? Well, that's at least debatable...
