My lips peeled off every other day until I used Carmex which is available in Wal-Mart for under $1. I don't know if the Carmex in a tube is the same as the Carmex in a jar, but I use the jar. I have to apply it so many times a day that I have it placed throughout my house, my car and my fannypack.

I have tried everything and this works the best.

My lips dries up and hurts if I don't use something on it constantly. I use a night treatment of petroleum jelly, applied just before I go to bed. In the morning when you wake up you'll notice all the dry skin has surfaced and you can wipe it off. Plus your lips looks refreshed, very pink and plump. But it doesn't stop there, you need to moisturize during the day, I use palmers cocoa butter lip balm, works wonders. You need to keep your lips constantly moisturized. Good luck.

i have realized after all these years that vaseline seems to always do the trick also if that doesn't seem to do the trick put a little bit of lotion and vaseline. If your lips seem to be cracking red and sore contact a doctor or go to a drug store and find an over the counter prescription. hope your lips get better bethany

Sounds strange but you can become "addicted" to chapstick, if you use it all the time and then stop or slow down it can cause your lips to become very dry and cracked...especially the medicated kind.
Make sure that you are not using facial cleanser on your lips and that you stay away from astringents.

I agree with the people above, try vasoline...

Use Vaseline ...chap stick is not good. I put it on once when I didn't have chapped lips and it gave me them.

You may want to try a product called "carmex"...this is a legit product not a Mexican car dealership. You can find it at your local grocery store in the asile that sells aspirin, pepto bismol ,etc.

i love Burt's Bee's...it is the proper moisturizer on your lips. try the mint in the adventure that they are chapped, and the honey only for moisturizing. in no way placed on LipSmackers...it dries out your lips and they scent terrible! besides, LipSmacker is for little little ones.

Scrub lightly with your tooth brush and warm water for ten seconds every 6 hours and constantly have vaseline on them.

It could be an allergic reaction to something. Sometimes peoples' lips swell when they encounter certain things. Stop by a pharmacy and talk to the pharmacist. He should be able to tell you what you can put on your lips to stop the irritation.
