A hangover (veisalgia) is the sum of unpleasant physical effects following heavy consumption of alcohol. The most common reported characteristics of a hangover are feelings of extreme thirst, lethargy, nausea, sensitivity to sunlight and noise, and headache. Hypoglycemia, dehydration, and vitamin B12 deficiency are all theorized causes of hangover symptoms. Hangover symptoms may be felt for a variable period of time after alcohol consumption, and may persist for a short period of time (12 to 36 hours[1]), or even longer (48 to 72 hours after the last alcoholic drink is consumed).

I suggest eating lightly thoughout the day and staying well hydrated which is need for more than just water I recommend Gatorade and taking some multi-vitamins. There is this other supplement that you may be interested in that prevents hangovers and is guarenteed follow the link and find out for yourself.

Believe it or not, more alcohol and lots of water is best for a hang over. Of course only a small drink is required, not the amount that gave you the hangover in the first place.

The ultimate hangover relief is to get one of your EMT buddies to hook you up with an IV. No hangover after 15 minutes. But if you don't know anyone that has IV's then you could take aleve and drink pedialite. That is only slightly slower. If you're me you just never stop drinking.....

When you become a full-blown alcoholic...you don't get hangovers...you just want another drink in the morning....thank God I never get hangovers again...the worst was in Mexico....lots of walking and fish soup was my cure that day....

Start with taking a Motrin before going to bed. Then in the a.m., drink plenty of water and have something greasy for breakfast, like bacon and eggs. Better yet, drink in moderation.

I used to pour a beer into a cup and leave it on my nightstand so it was nice and warm and flat when I got up. Being thirsty, I would drink that puppy down in one long swallow. Then some aspirin and Brioschi (or Alka-Seltzer) to get me into semi-civilized state.

Luckily for me, I stopped getting drunk years ago.

gatorade and something greasy to eat (McDonalds usually works) - makes you sick as hell at first, but takes away the hangover within an hour.
