I don't believe in psychic's or their rambling ons. If she was on the ball with you, it was just pure luck. Nothing more.

Save your money unless you just enjoy seeing her work for the entertainment value.

There are a few factors involved in "impressive psychics" like that. The first is that most people, when inclined to believe, will accept generalities about themselves that are true for more people, and assign them undue credit, while ignoring that which doesn't fit. There have been multiple studies done with horoscopes that show how the effect manifests.

The second is what's known as "cold reading." It involves throwing out a lot of vague guesses, and letting the person being "read" choose one and make it specific. You'll see this with "psychics" working audiences a lot... "I sense a J... J.R... does anyone over here know a J.R.?" Well, those are fairly common initials. If anyone does, there will be a reaction. If not... "J.P.? Yes, you, you know a J.P. It's a ... John... James... Jaaa..." and the poor believer will say "Jack!" and go from there. The "psychic" relies on the willingness of the person to believe, and them providing the details. Any guess that's missed is just ignored and replaced by another.

This general tendency holds for predictions, as well. A lot of vague predictions can be made. Those that come about will be remembered. Those that do not will be forgotten, or assumed to be fulfilled later.

I haven't had a reading from this woman so can't express an opinion either way as to her accuracy.

However, a couple of tips: if you found Ella through the pages of some magazine ("What Psychic"), maybe the magazine has further information (psychic reviews?) on her.

Or if you were looking for another psychic, how about attending an alternative lifestyle festival/fair - natural stamping ground for those of a mystical bent? Free back rubs too!

Happy grooving!

Some psychics are outright fakes, some really believe in what they do, but none have psychic ability. Save your money for something connected to the real world.

Maybe the people who have deemed her as being a fake did not hear what they wanted to hear....tall dark hansom stranger and all that.

I think that you've already answered your own suspicions.
