The dog with two little hair pins on its head. It say it's a Japanese. Anyone know what exactly the type or name (breed) that dog is?

It looks like a Shih Tzu puppy, about 4-5 months old..

It's a Shih Tzu. It's too fluffy to be a Japanese Chin. The person who captioned the photo is obviously confused, Shih Tzus are from China.

If it is truly a Japanese breed, then it's a Japanese Chin (also known as Japanese Spaniel). Shih Tzus are Chinese. Of course, it could be a Shih Tzu living in Japan!

That puppy is a Japanese Chin. If you are interested in the breed, take a look at http://www.akc.org/breeds/japanese_chin/index.cfm. It is AKC's website, specifically the page on 'Chin's'. The website also has a list of reputable breeders that may have some available.

I'd say it's either a shih tzu or japanese chin, leaning more towards the shih
