My nephew just turned 15 yrs. old he was living with my brother in law (his dad ) and my evil sis in law who kicked him out of the house about 2 yrs ago since then he has been bouncing between his mom who only wants him there when she needs child support and my mother in law who is never home she stays out with my father in law gambling until 11 every week night .. neways he ended up moving back with dad about 3 weeks ago because he was starting to hang around gangs and act out . it has been hell for him these past three weeks the step mom makes it very clear she hates him he sleeps downstairs in a coat closet because she says he needs to earn a bed which is crap. well last night i got home and she kicked him out again saying she was going to divorce my brother in law if he let him stay .. so now he is going back to grandma's i am really worried he is a good kid he likes school and he has a good heart .. what should i tell him to make him feel like he is not a piece of crap .

that he deserves better than this. This is not his fault. He probably has alot repressed anger. And that not all ppl are like this and that you love him. And somedday he will have a great family who he will not do this too. Love is the best way.

I don't know your living situation but any chance you could start to take care of him? It sounds like you care a great deal for him and would give him a better home than the others you mentioned.

why don't you something about it, like take him in for a awhile (until things calm down with his father and the "evil" step-mom) You'd show him that you care about him, and give his parents time to talk and work something out before he's sent off to his grandmother's again to get in more trouble. Step in and express yourself, and help your nephew!

1. if he's 15 he can petition the court to become emancipated from all of them. Of course, then he'll have to stand on his own feet, but depending on where he lives, there are resources to assist children that nobody wants.
2. I was going to be kinda nasty about the family itself but I figure "why"... Yeah, emancipate himself from all of those crazies.

Its Life and just like the famous movie line goes, '**** Happens'. I feel one must do their best to get out of the **** rather than analysing whose winning or losing the game. I mean, u r always winning as long as ur life's getting better. hope u get the analogy;)
