Quite a few years ago, there was a type of candy in tablet form that when you put it in a glass of water it would fizz and all sorts of stuff and change color and make sort of a soda pop. This was probably 25~30 years ago...
If you can tell me what the name of this stuff was, or where to buy some now, well.....I don't know, I guess you would earn some points.

The answer is Fizzies. They were popular in the 60's. I didn't particularly like the taste of them, although they were fun to just put on your tongue and let them fizz.

I know of it - but can't remember. Wish I could. I'll come back if I do.

Had a thought. Buy a bottle of Strawberryade. Pour three quarters of a glass, place in a block of vanilla icecream. It fizzes and thickens.... Delicious. Can you buy Strawberryade these days?

At first I thought you were talking about Pop Rocks, but I guess it's Fizzies, like the other folks answered.

Fizzies. They came in 'fruit' flavors... and were mentioned in "Animal House" ...who dumped the truckload of fizzies in the swimming pool?"

Very cool stuff... I wonder why they don't make them anymore. Use to be great for 'burping'
