I get a lot of my receipes for al sorts of things from http://allrecipes.com/
However, the BEST thing about this site is that you can do an ingrediant search. Look for recipes that have certain ingrediants that you have in the house and also look for receipes that do not have certain igrediants.
http://search.allrecipes.com/Recipe/Ingredient.aspx
So I could search for:
Things I want:
Chicken
Potaotes
Red peppers
but do not have:
Artichokes
Beef
And a Keyword seach of "Italian"
It's a great way to find new things to make.
By the way I love the "Honey Mustard Dressing II" (so easy, so yummy - but I add a dash of cayenne pepper to mine as a nice kick) and the "Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce"
Good stuff!

I definitely recommend your local and nearby libraries. They have a wide-ranging selection. You can either borrow the books, or sit there with pen and paper. If you have no success, then try the cheaper bookshops, like, The Works, or those bookshops that have cut-price books. I once tried to find a receipe for Arabic rice (delicious) - but it was the librarian who told me such receipies came under Far Eastern....I found my recipe!!

Epicurious.com has a huge database of recipes from all over the world and an advanced search function that will let you search by season, ingredient, key word, or dietary concern. I've stopped buying cookbooks.
