I went to one once a good few years ago..and the only one.....

Its a bit like a trade show, except the exhibitors have skills relating to the mind body and spirit.

There were free demonstrations, the opportunity to pay for a therapy and to buy items to help you in your own pursuit of whatever you fancy.

It was a little disappointing personally, I was hoping to get free tarot readings and perhaps meet a clairvoyant....but it really was not like this....

Have a good look at the programme and discover if you are thinking of going for the correct reasons.

But then again..if you are not sure if you want to go cos its an hour away...I think you are not really that interested.

I went to a few years ago. Lots of New Agey stuff - chanting, people in robes (white, orange). Massage and therapy stalls. Bookstalls. Incense and similar stinky stuff. Veggie foods, drummers jamming (bring earplugs). Bald bearded men, hippy types, peasant-look clothes. Meditation and yoga. Lectures and gurus. A combination of charlatans and true believers.

Is it worth going to? Maybe - it depends on what you're into, how big it is, whether you're going alone or in company (in case you get bored). It can be a window onto assorted alternate lifestyles, which might appeal, or else just a merchandising scam with hippy bells on.

On balance, if you've never been to one, go. At the least you might get a decent free back rub, and at best who knows?

Yes. There are many things to see at one of those. There will be sections where "monks" will perform chants, etc... You will most likely see crystal stands, as well as other Pagan booths. I'm sure there will be ppl there to read your aura as well as your palm. It will be a mix of several different things.

If that is the type of thing you are looking for, then yes, it is worth the drive.

only if the weather is good. But if you're hoping to have some success with "loose hippy chicks" (not my phrase, honest) then make sure you look like a hippy or you'll be seen as a capitalist outcast, and will go home with no-one, nor their phone number.

Was once invited to sell our products (Soaps and other "normal" toiletries) at one. It was as much as I could do to keep a straight face andnot burst out laughing at some of the goings on. The phrase`s " New Age" and "Claptrap" somehow kept popping into my head !

Fools and their money are parted.

You could part with your money from the comfort of your own home, if you're reluctant to travel. I'd be happy to provide a paypal address.

I went to one and had a psychic reading - the psychic correctly identified the fact that I was gullible.
