I think immigration is a 'weak spot' for our country right now, for either group to take easy advantage of. I'm not sure I feel confident in Congress' ability to take a strong, unified stance on controlling our borders more effectively, one can only hope.

I believe that Mexico, our largest transgressor on illegal immigration, has its' own social issues that need to be tended to, and not by the United States, but rather by mexican citizens themselves. Other nations have problems similar to Mexico, in that they have failed to develop sufficiently to support their own citizens, and as a result people are trying to move en masse to the United States.

There are 6.6 billion people in the world today. Other nations must seek to support themselves and their citizens rather than try to 'bum rush' our borders. There's a difference between giving someone a ride someplace, and letting them just take your car.

This really isn't about fear so much as it is a general sense of apprehension that Congress et. al. have been led down the garden path, and somehow mysteriously forgotten the people that put them in office to begin with. This November will see some changes, and likely these changes will reflect the general national dissatisfaction with the state of our borders, and our immigration system as well. For years, we've strived to be open and welcoming to newcomers, but in this day and age, some hard decisions will have to be made. Whether these decisons are made proactively and effectively, or simply left on the sideboard for future administrations and sessions of Congress to deal with is in and of itself a decision that needs to be made preferably sooner rather than later. Time will tell whether we follow the will of the people, or the will of some large corporation that wants to have its' way with our laws.

It's your future, vote how you please, but remember that these are lasting decisions, that may well reshape our country in some very negative ways. What kind of country do YOU want to live in?

Choose carefully...

Terrorists, of course, because they're the ones who are trying to kill us, NOT the illegal immigrants!

We have always had illegal immigrants. They are a threat because they are taking jobs at a much lower rate than we can. Terrorists are not the same as illegal immigrants. They are dangerous because they want to kill us.

i feel more threatened by illegal immigrants. they are taking over and it is a daily problem. plus there are illegal immigrants who are terrorists who have come here so easily, so that is the bigger problem.
