My boyfriend wanted to come over and see me the other day. I had been cleaning and looked and felt kind of grungy. I told him I didn't look my best and he said I looked fine. Do you think he is telling me the truth? We he did come over, he was wearing a T-shirt, shorts and flip-flops. Do some men care if they see their girlfriends looking less than perfect? We have known each other for about a year now.

Well how he acts around you when you are looking kind of grungy will tell you if he cares or not. You have been with one another long enough to get to know each other more than the looks side of things. He has learned that you are more than just your looks, and if he is still wanting to see you, then obviously what you have inside has impressed him as well as how you look.
Does it worry you if he looks kind of grungy....or do you see past that? I think if it doesnt worry you, then you have answered your own question.

Of course there is going to come a time when he sees you not looking your best. At the start of a relationship its all about impressing the other person. But once you get to know eachother and fall in love, the person loves you for you. You should still dress up and keep yourself up, but what do you think is going to happen if sometime in the future you marry somebody, have children etc... they are going to see you looking good, looking bad, looking really bad..lol.. they will see it all.
If he cares at this point there is a problem.. And he is telling you look fine because to him you always look fine. Good guy!

At some point in a relationship you are going to see your lover at their worst. How people deal with each other on a daily basis and at their worst times determines more about the strength of a relationship than seeing each other when your looking perfect. Sure, you didn't look as great as other times, but hopefully he loves you and finds you attractive beyond just those perfect moments.

No they don't care. Mature men realize that we are not perfect. It doesn't fit to clean our homes in short skirts and high heels. We don't all go around in full make-up and garb 24-7.
He was probably telling the truth. He didn't care what you were wearing. He was there to see you! You might have a decent guy on your hands. Congrats!

I've been married for 4 years he sees me at my less best as well as I do him and if someone truly cares about you they will understand your not always going to look your best I think he's telling the truth he really cares about you since he can over look things like that :)

Guys don't mind. It all depends on context. Don't go to a formal occasion like in sweat pants but if you are working at home, it works. Once you get past the superficial crap and are comfortable with someone, take heart that you don't always have to look perfect. Don't stop caring about your appearance, but by lowering the bar a little bit, you allow your man to be himself as well.

He is probably attracted to the beauty with in you. He may not need to see you all made up to love you and want to spend time with you. If I were you I would give up on the looking perfect thing everytime, cause he needs to love you for you and not for what you look like. My husband thinks I am beautiful with or without make up. For some strange reason....some men think a woman is most beautiful when she thinks she looks her worst. Not sure why this is...I guess a lot of men love to see the the natural look sometimes. Just don't do it all the time.....

He wanted to see YOU. If he treats you well any other time, then he was being sincere. Sounds like a keeper to me. Embrace it baby, and enjoy. Not everyone gets a guy that cares about the girl. For him, looking nice is the bonus-not the priority. Good Luck!

No they don't it's not like you walk around looking like that all the time you had a reason. He knows how you look when you are cleaned up that is what matters. It didn't sound like he was all dressed up for you either he just wanted to be with his gf. Take it as he does like you a lot and wants to be with you no matter how you are looking.
