I have been with a gym over a year..before that I was dedicated to Tae-Bo and saw results. Anyways I ususally do 45 minutes of cardio and about 45 min of weight lifting....that has always been my routine. Im eating less and strict on what I wat....but Im not losing any weight. I want to loose 20 pounds. People can tell I work out but Im getting the bulky look. Should I just stick to all cardio???? I hoping it would help me just loose the fat before I starting strength training again

If you want to lose weight, than you should stick to cardio workouts. While you are weight lifting, you are gaining muscle which could be the reason why the numbers on the scale have not decreased. Don't pay attention to scales if you do so, look at yourself and how you feel. Obviously since you are getting the bulky look, you have gained muscle, not fat. I think that is a great thing. That is something I'm working on at the moment. Losing weight takes time. You go through stages where you lose all this weight and then suddenly you can't even lose 1 pound. It's common, just stick to healthy eating and cardio and you should be fine. Good luck!

I wouldn't ditch it maybe just lighten the load or cut back on how much time you spend doing strength training and increase your cardo. One other thing...Your body gets used to excersices that you do regularly and this will prevent you from changing and loosing weight. So if you always run on a treadmill change to a stairmaster, outdoor running, oliptical. Don't always use the same excersices while strenght training either. Mix it up!

You're probably gaining some muscle mass... bear in mind that muscle weights more than fat, thus less muscle body mass will weight more than the same amount/ volume of fat body mass.
