It means he wants to keep you on standby if something better doesn't come along. You are not his first choice. He wants to keep you liking him so he'll know you'll be there if he "needs" you to be.

well the way i i would take it is if he still wants u to cook for him and still be his friend i myself wouldnt do it because ur like a house wife to him if ur cooking for him and he is getting what he wants from u he will make u feel like u guys are the best of friends then try to sleep with u then break ur heart by telling u that all he wants in a piece of butt and spaghetti every once in a while dont fall for it he is using u for all u got til he walks out that door with another woman

Maybe he is just not attracted to you in a physical way. He enjoys your company, he likes you but he just wants to keep it as friends. It is possible for males and females to be friends.
Or maybe he has been hurt in the past, and before he gets into a new relationship he wants to make sure.
Its hard to tell. You might just have to bring it up in conversation.

To me it sounds like he is keeping you around until "something better comes along". It seems to me that you and him are in a "relationship" with out having all the strings attatched. You give him the company and attentino that he craves. When he meets another girl, then he will move on from you. I know that sounds harsh, but i think that's how it is. He uses you to occupy his time.

Could mean he is gay, or he maybe the only hetero guy who can actually be only friends. Whatever how many times in life does a person have a really good friend. Some guys have specific types like maybe only fat chics trip their trigger.

well that means he doesn't like in a way you want him to but there's still a chance if you stay friends with him. don't roll over or jump when he says to because he'll take advantage of that but just do little things every now and then and he'll see that you're really worth it. good luck and god bless!
