To answer this question I'll give some Info:
If you are a US Marine and want to go to any other service after, you dont have to go through their bootcamps. But any other service if you are in and then want to go into a new branch you would have to go through their bootcamp.
I went through Marine Corps Boot Camp in San Diego and for me it was mentally hard but physically easy.

I fairly have a buddy that in basic terms finished Boot Camp. And his studies weren't as undesirable because those I had throughout elementary... even though it likely in basic terms relies upon on the position/once you bypass. Paris Island isn't everywhere as demanding because it became once. no longer knocking it - that's really no longer an straightforward adventure for both branch. yet after the shortcoming of existence of numerous recruits at Boot camp many years in the past - each and each and every of the facilities got here below scrutiny and adjustments were made in the course of the board. that's no longer an similar because it became even 10 years in the past. everyone who says there's a huge large difference between both - is incorrect. And actual criteria between each and each and every of the branches are distinctly a lot equivalent. as an party look the actual attempting out criteria between both branches: USMC PT attempt (17-21 years previous): 3 Pull-united states50 Crunches 28:00 3-mile run military APFT (17-21 years previous) 40 2 Push-united statesfifty 2 sit down-united states15:fifty 4 2-mile run neither is exactly 'elite' compared to the different.

About 5 times more demanding (not harder). Mental, physical states of mind have to be at it's extreme, you should be willing to take creative and/or extreme criticism without taking it personally if mistakes are made and your PT is 10 times more strenuous. The Marines have the "Crucible", which is 72 hrs. of team building and maxed out PT, whereas the Army has a minimum standard test before graduation.

I did Army, my brother did Marine. Marine was much much more mentally intimidating and a somewhat more physically challenging. That why it's: The Few...

It's longer than Army boot camp because they have to be trained to do more things.

Uh, like a lot harder. That's why I went in the Navy! MC bootcamp is three times longer! Just make sure you get the MOS you want.
