My suggestion is to consult your vet. Get the dog out of the house for a day, get a bomb from the vet's office not at a department store and then either use the Frontline Plus or Advantix neck drips, NEVER buy Hartz products for this they do not work and have been known to be toxic. There is also a tablet you can get from your vet that will kill the fleas within ten minutes. This is a one time pill, then you take care of the house and get him on a preventative. There is also a heart worm med that is taken monthly that includes a tick and flea preventive in it. Good Luck!

The only way to get rid of fleas is to treat the dog, the house, and the yard all at the same time. Set off flea bombs in the house, spray the yard, and take the dog to be bathed while the bombs are working. If you have a severe infestation you may need to repeat in 4 to 6 weeks.I would recommend using a product like Advantage or Pro-Spot to keep the fleas from coming back.

I don't think that there is a "natural" method. The fleas have most likely infested the carpeting and furniture. You need one of the "bombs" that spray an entire room. Be very careful to read ALL the directions. They work but can kill plants and fish. They are not cheap, either. Or, contact your vet.

Over the counter products rarely work, use the stuff from the Vet, Frontline, Advantage, Adventix etc. Also you need to get your dog de-wormed for sure because tapeworms are caused from fleas.

You are going to have to treat the house and all the carpets and blankets and everything in the dogs enviroment. Maybe the yard as well. And continue to treat the dog.
There is no good home remedy for fleas try calling you vet and have him recommend something for the house as well.

talk to your Vet about measures that will help your dog. There are prescription applications that will work on the dog. Be care full about bombing your home for fleas, the chemicals aren't good for you or the dog.
