hey now he didn't die for me.. i didn't ask him to.
blame them who nailed his *** there in the first place.
i wasn't there.. i don't consider myself a sinner... because i just don't believe in that guilt and it's all my fault s.h.i.t.

they place all this on god and jesus.. instead of themselves.. only we can save ourselves.

Would you give up your life for somebody who you would never meet (on this earth), who wouldn't even be born until LONG after you died...horribly...at the hands of evil, hateful men?
Even if you don't accept that Jesus is God...it is plain that He helped change a brutal and corrupt world (think it's bad now?) by saying "No!" to the establishment of His day.
He said it was wrong to throw the disabled into the streets, to stone people for adultery, to kick your wife out of the house because you found a younger one...and he was killed for it. That's the big deal.

The idea there is that sin entered the world through one man (Adam), and that sins in general could only be atoned for by a sacrifice, of a perfect victim (the best looking animals, lambs, etc).
So to atone for all of humanity, you would need a perfecter perfect sacrifce, a man without sin (the Lamb of God). This is why the virgni birth is key: since he wasn't born the normal way, he did not inherit the original sin of Adam. And when he died without sin, he became the perfect sacrifice to atone for the original sin, for those who accept it through faith.

Does anyone else find it as an injustice to all that one man should die/punished for the sins of all. I thought God was supposed be the most justified being and the most merciful Where is the justice and mercy when someone who is a serial murderer and then "accpets Jesus in to his heart" while in jail gets to go to heaven. What about the mercy and justice for his victims. In the end they all presumably get to the same place. Doesnt seem fair to me. What about the idea of each person should own and pay for his/her own mistakes/sins. The whole idea doesnt seem logical, fair, or mercifull to me and seems to contradict the essnce of God.

Jesus did not die for our sins. It is said that he led the perfect life, and then got crucified, for no reason but to bear all the sins of man from that time on.
In reality, though, he was just an ordinary man who did some clever things, played some amazing conjuring tricks that people thought were miracles, and got crucified for it.

The difference is that His destiny was given by God.
His life and then death on the cross were gifts given to us to show our need for God.
The real difference is that when Jesus died on the cross it was for the sins/wrongs that you and I have done - His life in exchange for our penalty of sin.
For you see, the wages of sin is death.
Before animal blood was used in atonement for those sins - this was before Jesus was on earth.
But Jesus paid the ultimate/overall price with His own blood for YOU and Me.
This was the most precious of all blood sacrifices...for there is nothing that we, as humans, can do to justify our wrongs or to atone for them. That is why His gift of death, to offer life to us in exchange, is needed and required.
Read John 3:16 for further details. He loves you as no other can.
Life, death and eternity are all real! His gift is eternal life.
May He bless you in your search for answers so freely given!

If your mother was a virgin when she got pregnant with you, you never sinned, preformed miracles, were nailed to a cross and then came back from the dead, in order to save the world from it's sins, we would think the same about you. But only the Son of God could do all those things.

I believe (this is just me) that if Jesus actually existed, he was merely a man. We made him into a legend.
In the ancient days, people would pick a goat to be the "scape goat" and place all their evil thoughts and actions on him through "prayer". Then they would sacrifice it to the gods. Thus, their sins, were removed.
In the case of Jesus, a man was made the official "scape goat".

There were only 2 people born without sin. Adam and Christ. Adam chose to sin and that brought the sin nature on all humanity. Christ chose not to sin so he could redeem us from the sin nature. he could be the perfect sacrifice for sin. God is a holy God that cannot be approached by people who sin. We all sin so we need a sacrifice for sins to redeem us. (To pay for our sins). Jesus is like the lamb that was slain in the Jewish covenant. Innocent blood was shed to atone for sin. 1Co 15:21 For since by one man (Adam)came death, by man (Christ)came also the resurecction from the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive

Some offer me a false choice between salvation through belief in savior power to pay for sins or condemnation through disbelief. I believe this is a false choice because I believe my soul has been saved, is saved, and always will be saved by the love freely given to my soul by the spirit of an infinity, divinity, eternally one. I deny belief in the existence of their conflict of a good one in Heaven and an evil one cast down to and ruling over Earth. I affirm my belief in the existence of a body-consuming biosphere divided by a primal conflict of predator and prey while I affirm my belief in a unified spiritual realm.
