Yes. It is my belief, and no one will tell other wise.

Question probably needs redefing.
Me; I will never be told what to pray or how/who, by anybody or any gov anywhere.... not even my own wife.
My wife is christian,, I am 'like Jefferson' a variation of Deist.
We married ultimately because she is a 'reasoned' christian.
That is one who believes all of it, but relizes it might in fact not be 100% of what is.(bible, etc). Ie; she also believes dinosours preexisted adam/eve and says the bible doesnt exclude that possibility.
I will never ever pray to allah under any and all circumstances.
And will never tolerate the socalled 'prayer loudspeaker no matter what the religion.

Well, I am an unbeliever. I mean:
"I definitely don't & won't trust any kind of religious & spiritual beliefs."
I don't say "lack of faith", but well, I do "fight" every day.
I sometimes seem arrogant because I dare to say to my friends (in real life) that I don't & won't ever trust all those beliefs.
I have "faith" in Life & Humanness. I don't need any kind of religious/spiritual belief for that. I just have to pragmatically observe myself & my environment.
I hope I will have kids. I'll teach them that humans (in France, where I live) have the choice between "religion" and "no-religion".
- if they choose "no-religion", I would feel reassured :-)
- if they choose "religion", I will be helping them getting informations from religious people I can trust. I would respect my kids' choice, but I will want them to be pragmatical.
I would feel very sad but I would respect their choice.
Whether my future kids are unbelievers or believers, I just want them not to be fanatics (there also are fanatical unbelievers...)
But well: I would "fight" for them! lol
I want my future kids to be broad-minded and grounded, whether they are unbelievers or believers.

I'm inclined to agree with you. What state would society be in if reason and logic failed? Are you non-religious because of the lack of evidence and logic? I think that's the main problem with organised religion, in that they seem to require such a leap of faith that to many people its just ridiculous. I think justice, equality, and the weak and innocent are pretty important things to protect.

You know, that's so ironic. I never had to defend being a Christian. And when I asked myself if I would die to defend the faith, the answer was no. I knew in reality, it was Christian mythology. But I certainly have had to defend my non-believing self . Typically, Christians get very upset with me, but I realize it's only because I'm threatening their own belief system. So I try to be "passive" and let it go.

"Fight" being taken as defending with logic and words and not giving in when you're told you're going to hell, yes. I fight for by beliefs all the time.
P.S. Just because we're not religious doesn't mean we don't believe in anything.

No - I wouldnt fight for my lack of faith. I abhor peoplee who think it is their right to fight others because of what they beleive or dont beleive.
However, I am willing to defend myself and my beleifs to the death. Meaning, if I was forced by a christian or muslim to convert or die, I would happily choose death, or I would go down swinging. But I would never fight to spread my beleifs.

Fight indeed, but the fight is not for a lack of faith but for the confirmation of the integrity of reason.

Evidently just because you don't label your 'logic' as a religion does not mean that it is not a belief system. You live by your logic like a Christian lives by Christianity!

Since there is no concrete proof either way, I would take your non-belief as a show of faith rather than a lack of it. You DO have faith in your decision to not believe, don't you??

No, because then I would be the same as all the bigots who kill in the name of their god! I prefer to rise above it all and be a good person without fairy tales and indoctrination, thank you!
