I read all the books and pick and choose what I am comfortable with from each. This is a very personal question and every one feels differently and must chose their own 'path'

Actually, I am able to think for myself. That's the wonderful thing about having free agency. I can choose for myself.
Oh, and I strive to live by the teachings of five books:
Old Testament
New Testament
Book of Mormon
Doctrine & Covenants
Pearl of Great Price

I always think for myself. I don't live by any one specific book -- life is not a book, it's an ever evolving journey.

I live by the book's guidance, but I think for myself. If there is a situation I can't handle or I need guidance in, I can't think of a better resource.

I think for my self, I choose to believe the Bible when I could believe it is false. I made that decision about that on my own. My mother never had me baptized, she allowed me to decide what religion I wanted to be part of and I still choose Christianity

Of course it is a rhetorical question. What amuses me are all the answers (and the inferred answer inherent in your question) that if one follows religion one does not, indeed one cannot, think for oneself. What a laughable ASSumption.

Of course I can think for myself. I chose to believe and realize more everyday what a fool I was to believe something else.

"For it is written, 'I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and the intelligence of the intelligent I will reject.' Where is the wise person? Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher of this age? God has turned the wisdom of the world into nonsense, hasn't he? For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know God, God decided through the nonsense of our preaching to save those who believe. Jews ask for signs, and Greeks look for wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified. He is a stumbling block to Jews and nonsense to gentiles, but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ is God's power and God's wisdom. For God's nonsense is wiser than human wisdom, and God's weakness is stronger than human strength. Brothers, think about your own calling. Not many of you were wise by human standards, not many were powerful, not many were of noble birth. But God chose what is nonsense in the world to make the wise feel ashamed. God chose what is weak in the world to make the strong feel ashamed." 1Co 1:19 - 1:27, ISV

You seem to assume that you are wise enough to know that people of faith are incapable of logic, when you cannot know that for sure. I feel sorry for you and your limited view of the world. I will pray for you.

Im glad you have a sense of self possession, however, that doesnt mean you're right. Being insulting to others whose answers are as valid as yours only make you seem petty.

I live by one specific book AND think for myself.
