It never fails, evey question posted in this cat. there is all ways someone who has to be rude or nasty. I will even, probably, get a nasty answer on this question. Why can't we show each other love and respect rather than, "you're an idiot" or "christians try to convert" or "you don't believe what I believe, you're ignorant"???

Because people will always disagree about religion. It is and always has been the most controversial issue around. People are constantly willing to wage wars over who is right and who is wrong about religion.
For those that said religion is not peaceful are totally wrong--religion is peaceful, but it is the corruption of religion and the selective misinterpretaiton of scripture that causes people to believe that they have a right to gather people together in order to kill one another.

Because at a certain point, agreeing to disagree doesn't work. When someone uses a 2000 year old book to influence their decisions today, it has an affect on everyone around them. When that book includes rape, mass murder, and many myths about the world, it's a problem.

Until religions stop trying to force their beliefs into civil law, and telling people their going to hell, and closing the minds of future generations to scientific reality's there will always be conflict.
