Everyone reacts to medicine differently, what is good for one person my be a nightmare for someone else, if it doesn't seem to be working for you see your doctor again.

Then you already should know better than us. It is different for everyone. Prozac is older and therefor more is known so less of a health risk. Lexapro does have more side effects.

First of all why did you get switched? I have been on both and to be honest neither one is different than the other. Most doctors switch you just to see if you really have the anxiety, stress, or depression you are complaining about! I now take Depakote! Ask your Doctor to about you maybe taking this medication. I will tell you it is also used for seizures, but most of the best depression medications are seizure medications. Actually Lexapro is also used for seizures, It doesn't work well for depression though! Trust me ask your Doctor about Depakote!!

Prozac is a HORRIBLE drug in my experience and should not be used unless you are completely and suicidally depressed beyond hope. I haven't taken Lexapro but I'm on Welbutrin now and it works well for me (for the most part).

I suggest you go to Drug.com and read about the medication you are taking. That site gives a very detailed explanation including the side effects and the dangers of mis-dosing. It's an excellent site and I hope it helps.
