Personally no not that way, however I know of 3 the other way...Where as with many people many religion are just there and are not really though of much especially this day and age, where as Islam is a way of life and is a very strong faith where you are born a muslim and will will be brought up a muslim..There are differnt levals of practice of corse but I my life time so far all my firends who claim to be a religion have prob never been to church where as all the muslim people I know do practise.. If it is prayin 1 time a day to 5 times a day..

My wife is Muslim and I am not. It would be better to call her 'nominally Muslim' - she's quite interested in alternate spirituality and is quite sceptical of orthodox Islam. Yet she retains the title, so I can't say that she's 'given up'.

And, more importantly, I can't say how much of an effect her being married to me has had on that. Our house is perfectly secular - God is a very, very rare topic of discussion.

I do know, however, of people who have abandoned the word 'Muslim' after getting married to a non-Muslim. But I wouldn't be able to comment on how deeply they had felt Islam before the marriage, so it may not mean much.

I live in SE Michigan. I know a few non-Muslim American girls that married Muslim men. After a few years they divorced and the Muslim men remarried Muslim women from their country of origin. some of the men were able to sponsor other family members to come to SE Michigan as well.

I think Muslim women are forbidden for the most part to Marry outside the faith, but Muslim men are encouraged to do so. (Grow the faith)

I am sure it has happened, but if I were a Christian woman in love with a Muslim man, I would not hold my breath. In Islam, Men have all power over the women. Not all men take advantage of this, but in fact they can.

Peace! and good Luck!

1. muslims never give up islam because once u read the koran and know everything about islam, u become sure that it is the right religion and so u never leave it...

2. different religion relationships never work cuz they come from different cultures and they believe in different things

3. a muslim that would give up islam for a relationship isn't a true muslim, he just has the name...

....i would just like to say to the guy who commented on wat i said, even though he probably won't read this, u probably read the wrong koran!!! i'm a muslim woman and i have a great life, nobody controls me or suppresses me, and islam doesn't tell us to murder ppl, if that was true u would've seen every muslim killing christians or jews and that obviously isn't happening. it looks like ur one of the ppl that thinks terrorism = islam, and doesn't believe that in every country or religion, there are terrorists and just for ur information, the crime rate in the west is much higher than the arab world
