I'm not asking this question for myself. My son is way beyond the age for that sort of thing. I'm asking because two cooworkers were having an arguement about it. I told them, there is no age, there just comes a time when you stop (usually by age 3 or 4), it's not like a concious decision where you say "o.k you're 4 years old, you're not taking a shower with me". What do you think, what has been your experience?

Yes I agree with you ages 3 or 4 would be good but its not any certian age. Children need to learn to bath their self and learn they cant always shower/bath with their parents. So its good to teach them at the age or 3 or 4.

Never! when the times were different, we were not reminded of the decandence of society as we are now, and in effort to save heated water we bathed together, and shared bath water in the tub.Showers were unheard of for a lot of us until we were in high school gym class, and later in the military. We need to maintain a modest and practical thought to the differences in our young men and women in their early years, to steer them in the proper respect for privacy then and now!

I say around 4 or 5, as a parent you can tell when your child is getting a little too curious.
