I have dated several guys that I met online. One I dated for 2 1/2 years and another for 6 or 7 months.
Meeting people online is like anything else .. use common sense and follow your gut instinct.

Actually, my boyfriend and I met online and we hit it off really well. Make sure you really know the person; talk to them on the phone for awhile and make sure it's someone you can have a conversation with-that'll make it less awkward when you actually meet. If this is something you're considering, be sure you're in a public place when you meet, and if would make you feel more comfortable, bring friends along with you. The internet is an awesome place to meet people-you get a chance to know who they really are-sort of a "pre-screening," but not everyone is an honest and good person. Be careful but also be open minded.

The person that I'm dating now we have been together for almost 5 years but we didn't meet online we met on a telephone chatline and it was going okay up until now. but you shoukd be cautious of who you meet bc some people are crazy these days so meet this person where alot of people will be. and if oyu like what you see you should get to know that person and their personality they have GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!

Actually that is how I met my husband .... now mind you we took the relationship really slow before it developed into something more. You have to be careful.

yes i met a woderful lady on the personals and we are getting married next aug. go with your heart if you want to meet someone do it around alot of other people then you'll still be safe and when you are ready go out with just the two of you for some romance

I met a couple of my friends online. We just decided to meet one day (at the mall) and it's been normal since. Just be careful.

Yes, People are not the same at the PC as in real life. Lets just say I prefer to meet people live in-person for the first time.

yes, and I have found that they are just people. No different than the ones that you meet in person first, and then IM with...but people that you meet online are not as likely to be close to you geographicly, so the meetings may involve more expense and planning.

i met several women in person, that i met online, some i met were crazy, some it was just a meet, then goodbye, some were for wildsex, that was cool, and then one i met, i fell in love with and married her, so it's all good.
