I hate it - Ive heard about this before and I hope they will offer it as a personal choice instead of an obligation, but knowing the military, its probably going to be the latter.

This war certainly has created a lot of profit opportunities for the military industrial complex. Sometimes I think thats the real point of the war. Naturally the soldiers wouldn't care about this. They'd be glad to have the chips in case they get lost or kidnapped. They won't like them any more when the come back home. It'll make it too easy for the government to track them.
New immigrants will roll up their sleeves before going to work and getting their chips implanted in exchange for the privilege.
Meanwhile others will make a lot of money.

I don't know if I would want one or not. That is kinda a tough one. Yes it could be good to help identify someone like others said (injured military) unless they lost their arm or hand then how would they be identified? It would make going to medical much easier, they couldn't give you the wrong record or anything like that. I think getting micro chips in military members is a long way off, they would have to do all kinds of testing and junk.

I think it's a kinda stupid idea. Hands and Arms are the first to get blown off in combat. What good will it do then? And if it's used for anything other than identification of the body, like security or access then this will lead to kidnappings of service members and the chopping off of limbs. Just retarded a idea.

RFID is not GPS tracking and does not have that ability.

As long as we would have the option to have the chips removed at the end of our service. I could see the benefits for example of tracking down pow's or even just lost soldiers. But as a civilian I have a real problem with being chipped.

I've recent;y made a pen pal who is stationed in Iraq, I asked him about it, he has no idea what they are, its funny how they keep this quiet, yet we know what it is, know its coming, and it won't stop with servicemen and women, eventually, it will happen to everyone, my sister in law had a baby 3 years ago, they were offered then, a friend in Wisconsin took his dog to the vet, he was offered one for his dog, theres good to be found in it, alot of crap would stop, they've tinkered with these for years and they've finally got them to the point where they can track your location, keep all your financial information, your criminal information ect, introducing them is the hard part, if you follow what I'm saying, because it will fall under Revelations 13 for most people.****no man might buy sell or trade lest he had the mark,*** So no one wants to make them madatory, no matter how much good might come from them.

I would be against having my son or daughter implanted with a micro chip. We need to contact our local Congress representatives and oppose this.

regardless of what "benefits" being chipped might entail it should NOT be done! People read the bible...its laid out there in black and white and even if you don't believe in religion you should still say NO to this unless you want to be sheep. wake up people

I see good and bad in that. Right now I'd have to say NO, but there could be some real benefits in doing so.
