If the school aren't taking any action:
a) talk to the police about whether you can/should get a restraining order on the other child or something
b) you can complain to someone about the lack of response from the school. Talk to your schooling body (i.e. local council if it's a state school or something) who should have an ombudsman (which is a kind of independant adjudicator) appointed.
c) if you're not quite sure about whether or how to do points a and b, go down your local Citizen's Advice Bureau. They're a free governement run service to give you advice, and they'll be able to help you with this sort of thing, telling you what you can do and who to talk to.

Good luck, I hope this gets sorted and your kid is ok.

dall the police ans start a civil case against the school involving the health and safety executive from your local council on the grounds that the school has failed to provide your son a safe place in which to study. These days the H&S have more power than the police. Also call the Local Education Authority (LEA) which your school comes under and get them involved. Pull your kid out of school.

If this isnt a british school howver just call the police

First, safety of your child is the main priority, so go to the police and get a restraining order against this offending child. In addition, if you took all the proper steps of notifying the school. of no help there, then, I would request a meeting with both school district superintendent and the principal of the school to see what remedies are available to the school and your child to prevent this event from occurring again to your child or any other child. If no help still, then you should simply pull that child out of school.

Get the police involved!
Kids nowadays are getting more and more violent and they obviously arent being bothered with at home so the only language they'll understand is the police. Hopefully it will stop anything from happening again!

Get a sock, put 2 snooker balls in it,tie the open end, give it to your son to take into school and tell him to crack it over the knife wielding freaks head although in reality take him out of school and report it to the police.

Seriously, get him out of that school and find somewhere better for him to go. I grew up in a rough high school in Queens and never really got myself into any kind of trouble like that, but I saw and knew a lot of kids who did and it wasnt always pretty, I would take him out of that school right away.

Report this to the police.

Report the school to the local educational authority.

Do both of these things first by telephone, then send a covering letter. Keep copies of the letters, and a record of the phone calls (whom you spoke to and when).

i'm assuming you want your son to bypass to varsity and in no way Iraq. initiate with the help of actual letting him know how you experience and what your concerns are. Remind him that he would not know the recruiter and after he deliver's out he will in no way see that human being back. also enable him know that when he is going to Iraq he's searching at a 365 days contained in the desolate tract with out cable, no activities, no resteraunts, etc. almost all the commodities will be lengthy gone. If he's fortunate he receives to make one telephone call per week. He can seem ahead to operating six to seven days per week someplace between 10 and 16 hours an afternoon. finally, you may want to settle for that this his determination to make. If he chooses to hitch remind him that, even as you may no longer trust his determination, you want him and could help him (he will want it if he does bypass to Iraq). do not carry a grudge hostile to him and honestly do not threaten, scold, or criticize his determination. he's at a smooth and severe time in his existence the position in case you dig your heels in he will bypass in any route except the only you want. on the plus part evaluate this: After serving contained in the armed forces he will get carry of knowledge in his practise to assist make certain he can get his college degree. might want to he opt for to stay in and do 20 years, he will have a guaranteed paycheck for something else of his existence. also, employers want armed forces veterans as they have adventure, practise, and a shown self-discipline it truly is not any longer oftentimes considered in a school grad.
