let me ask you a question. Do you think that it was gods intent to frighten people with the consequence of hell in order for people to find their way to him. Or was that mans way of preventing chaos and maintaining order with power and riches. Does using the word to sin disemble the very prinicple of god

The concepts of sin and eternal damnation are a control mechanism used by the church to maintain power.

Here are some real facts for you:

1. God is perfect Love and Joy. Everything he created is perfect and without flaw. Everything he created is equal to every other thing - there is no hierarchy - All is Divine.

2. God is infinite, the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. Everything that exists is God, nothing that exists is not God. That includes atomic particles, elements, rocks, trees, animals, you, me, planets, stars, galaxies, and planes of existence we are not aware of. You are a direct manifestation of God, as is everyone and everything else. All is One.

3. There is no such thing as sin and no such place as hell. Sin, like all moral judgements is a construct of the human mind. What is considered sinful or acceptable changes from time to time and place to place according to changes in society.

4. There are however immutable laws of karma. As you sow, so shall ye reap. Some actions contribute to your spiritual growth, some take away. You may not face eternal damnation for your actions, but you will bring upon yourself consequences with which you must deal.

5. No matter what your path back to the Creator is guaranteed. There is no way to NOT re-unite with the eternal Love of God. Nobody gets left behind, though you may take as long as you wish to learn the lessons of Love. The only ultimate guarantee in the cosmos is infinite Love and indescribable Joy.

Just as Heaven and Earth are separated, so is Hell from Heaven because sin and holiness cannot exist in the same plane. Case in point, the Scripture says, "No man can serve two masters, for he would love one and hate the other". In other words, there would be a cloud over his emotions impairing his judgment and purity, thereby rendering his service to God of little or no effect. Hell was designed for those who consciously CHOOSE to go there by not willingly accepting Christ's sacrifice or His plan of salvation and maintaining a relationship with Him. We can't have it both ways. It's not a matter of people being frightened, for fear is a reference to reverence in this regard.

God has nothing to do with anything... it does not exist. The concepts of sin and hell and an all-seeing god are a human concept, designed to control people, through fear and intimidation. If you think there is an invisible, all-powerful god watching everything you do, and you think that it is perfectly happy to burn and torment you for ever, for the slightest infraction, you are more likely to behave yourself.

Originally, a belief in gods was an idea that was hatched to quell cognitive dissonance, as it began to dawn on humans that they all faced death... and as they tried to understand the world in which they lived. I.E., where they could not find an answer in nature (which was mostly), they would invent an explanation based in the 'supernatural', and accept it as a matter of 'faith'. As these ideas developed and evolved, the people who were responsible for interacting with these imaginaty dieties began to realize that their position begat 'power'. The fact that these prehistoric fantasies persist to this day testifies to the pathetic willful ignorance and self-delusion that infests two-thirds of humanity.

You make several suppositions in your question that prevent a complete answer, such as the "power and riches" thing. But I'll answer anyway.

God is perfectly righteous; no righteous person punishes another without warning the punishee of the potential consequences; if God sent unbelievers to Hell without telling them it exists, He would be unrighteous; so God warns us about Hell as a way of PROVING He's righteous.

Peace.

God certainly did intend to scare people - I mean, he slaughtered them for no reason all the time in the Old Testament. He needed a genuinely terror-stricken population in order to keep them in line.

... provided of course, that you believe there is such a god, and hell. I don't.

You hit that dead on. Hell is man's way of scaring people, and trying to be in control of peoples Faith and religion. One needs to seek the truth for their own self.
