Can anyone suggest a place to go for a weekend for grown ups near Ohio? We live in Columbus and are willing to drive some distance but need to stay relatively close to ohio. Looking for something to do - something fun. Any ideas? This is for a 40th b-day weekend. Thanks!

Cleveland is actually a really great place to visit- especially this time of year. There are lots of restaurants, and if you're into the arts, the Playhouse Square District is fantastic. Also, you have the rock and roll hall of fame- a great place to spend a couple hours. The comedy clubs in downtown cleveland are also fantastic. You've got Indians baseball right now too- Jacob's field is gorgeous. It's worth checking out (even if not for this particular occasion)

There is an island on the lake west of Cleveland, I can't remember the name, but it is full of fun and bars. It is the New Orleans of the north. The rest of Ohio is dull.

If you are into hiking, go check out Hocking Hills. It is about 45 minutes southeast of Columbus, and it has some great hiking.
