My Blackfoot Indian ancestors had the last name Brand of Mississippi

I have Blackfeet ancestry too. Mine is in Louisiana. I don't know very much about them though.

If you really are Blackfoot (I am Lakota) then you should know better then to try and get your NDN name off the net! If your adopted and trying to find your identity, don't search for it here, you'll get taken by a wannabe. Go to your rez or local Native center (like a friendship center in canada...guessing your in canada). Real NDN names are given my our Elders, traditionally after great achievement or becoming a Woman/Man. Of course if you want to take the twinkie route then take one off the net and pay for some new-age naming ceremony but I don't recommend it. Doing so would have no meaning and lack fulfillment.
