they did a MRI. I will get the results today. If you really know what you are talking about please make me feel better or knowledgeble. I know nothing about this stuff and I am really scared.

A cyst is just a fluid filled space. There are numerous types of cysts. Most cysts are benign, but not all. The best treatment for most cysts is to do nothing unless they cause pain or become infected. If excision or drainage is recommended, get a second opinion.
I would never tell a parent not to worry, but don't worry too much, it's most likely nothing.

Where is the location of the cyst?
ask the doctor whether it's operable or not.
If yes, better perform surgery and after that the doctor can determine whether it's a benign disease or not.

for you not knowing what it is, is not right. The Doctor should have told you what it is. You have the right to know. but I am guessing when you get the results back they will explain things to you. Your family doesn't have bad luck or only bad things happen to you guys. it just means with heath situations. You guys need to take better care of yourself. and eat right. I know this is a bad time in your life but this too shall pass. We need to lean on god for comfort. When there is bad there can always be good.
A lot of things have happened to me. elementary i hurt my arm my neck were I had to walk around like a robot. Middle school I broke my leg and got kidney stones. high school I was in the hospital 3 times cause I was having problems and they didn't know what was wrong till they found out it was my pindusides
( dont know how to spell it.) Then out of high school. I got kidney stones again. and when I went on vecation to brasil. I got sick on the airplane and missed christimas cause I was sick. Ummm. I have gotton sterep throught. if thats right!! I cant spell. got that 2 times. and now 20 dealing with my boyfriend in the navy and can't see him because the kind of school his in. And I just got out of the hospital 6 weeks ago for another kidney stone.
You see with everything that has happened in my life I felt like no one else got any bad and I got all the bad. but with the bad came good. God knew something was going to happen. so he brought my boyfriend to take care of me. and good friends and others.
I know its hard but things always get better.
