first of all what is an atheist? Is it somone who chooses to not believe in jesus. Is it someone who dosent believe in the bible? Is it someone who dosent believe in god.
I dont think there is one of us that can deny a bigger power, now whether or not that doesent comply to the orthodx view of religion does not make them atheists. Everyone to some degree recognizes that there is more than they can possibly comprehend. An atheist is not a disbeliver of god, but the disbeliver of what man and society has told him what his idea of god should be. An atheist is a man or woman who refuses to categorize god for his own comprehension and therefore is open to the possibility of his own relationship or journey with god. The question is what is your perception of what an atheist is and you yourself might be suprised by the answer

Oh yes, what a phenomenal reason to believe... the threat of punishment. Not that this provides any substantiating evidence one way or the other... it's just a threat, after all... but gosh, isn't it motivating?
I don't accept anything as absolute fact just because someone says "BELIEVE OR I'LL KICK YOUR *** WHEN YOU DIE!"

Not only that, but we're hated and discriminated against by the religious majority for our entire lives. Doesn't sound very inviting does it?
I wonder why anyone would choose such a lifestyle, when it would be so much easier to just believe in god?
Hmmm, perhaps it's not a choice? Ever thought of that? Perhaps... just perhaps... we can't force ourselves to believe something that we know is false?
Edit - Oh, sorry, I at first didn't realize this guy is a fake and a troll. I'll get your abuse report off to YA Staff right away! :)

I wouldn't feel like a fool if I end up in Hell. I would rather live the way I wanted to then play it safe like a p*ssy.

It's always tough to stop believing in your fluffy pink imaginary bunny rabbit. Those that are strong can let go and view the world as it truly is. You give your imaginary friend a big hug from me the next time you see him.

If an atheist is wrong and there is a soul, what would burn it?
"Ignorance is preferable to error; and he is less remote from the truth who believes nothing, than he who believes what is wrong."
-- Thomas Jefferson
The Judeo-Christian (and Islamic) texts are logically contradictory, both with each other and within themselves. They are also plainly contrary to science. In nouncertain terms this means they are wrong.

well. they are just trying to find answers to soul's questions deep inside, but in the wrong place where there is not eternal words of God. Most of them come to a point where they can not go or dig or study further and humble themselves before God. God still loves them and will judge their hearts

Very true. And it takes more faith to be an atheist than a theist.
