This is a question that has been debated for centuries... Unfortunately it is one of the questions that cannot be answered with a yes or a no...
It is beyond human understanding....

First, that depends on what you think heaven is. Hell was actually invented by some ancient Egyptian preists who were powerhungry. The Devil was taken from a celtic god with deer horns, who was the god of merryment, and wore red. Then all the different religeons got a hold on them, and decided to make a system. The root word of Religion comes from the laten word to regulate. A lot of religeus leaders have a tendancy to corrupt themselves, and become, pardon me, but ASSHOLES. Athough, there are alway the really good ones, who are just trying to help. The human mind is a wonderous thing, and whatever you tell it, the subconsious mind will believe. One guy froze to death in a freezer car that was not even turned on, becuase he believed so hard, and he didn't know it wasn't on.
If you believe you will go to hell, then your belief in that will most likely take you to a reality you don't want when you die. If you belive you will go to heaven, then what your perception of heaven is will condition what kind of reality you will be in after you pass on from this particular existance. If you can lear to teach your own subconsious what you really want it to believe, there is no end to what you can do. If you look in the right places, all religeons teach this in one form or another. The Soul is a unique entity that is the crafter of the human body, and all physical is the physical manifestation of the energy that that thing is inherantly. And not just people, animals too, plants, all things have energy. Even rocks, boards, anything you can think of.
The meaning of life, when it really comes down to it, is just to live. To exist, have fun in whatever way you choose to manifest fun, and to love. I could give another big long thing on love, but that would take up to much space on this particular page.
Remember, Simplicity, Honesty, Truth, Bravery, Inquisitiveness, Independance, FREEDOM, loyalty, and LOVE.
Rember, men (mankind, you know, men and weomen both, just in case you were stuck on that) are that they might have joy.
As Napoleon said, "There are two forces in the world. The sword and the spirit. The spirit has always vanquished the sword." and that came from a famous conqueror!
Just remember, your soul is worth it, whatever anyone says. The past, NO MATTER HOW BAD has abselutly NO bearing on the future IF YOU CHOOSE TO NOT LET IT TO.
Be brave, be honest, be true, be noble, and no matter what happens, the now is what matters. past and future are just memmories and speculations. Live in the now.
love yourself and others, believe in souls. have fun!

Dying in a state of mortal sin will separate us from God for eternity.
To be in mortal sin, a person must have done three thing:
1. Committed an act that is a very serious matter
2. Known that the serious act was sinful
3. Been fully capable of making a decision to commit that act of their own free will.
If a person is in a state of despair, mental anguish, or depression, then the person probably did not have the free will to commit suicide. In this case, there is no mortal sin and the person will be forgiven.
Contact me by e-mail or instant messenger if you need to discuss this further.
peace be with you.

I have a different view on this, I think people who are mentally incapable of understanding suicide are forgiven and go to the place most call heaven. I think those that take their lives are very selfish and unfortunately do not make it to the place called heaven but are reincarnated back to earth to give it a second chance to try to live again and learn what they are here for instead of giving up. The rest of us gotta do it, so they should too!
Peace, :-)

Hey if you commit suicide you will go to hell. But then think of it, there are other alternatives rather than committing suicide. One thing you have to know is that Jesus loves you and he has already died for you on the cross of clavary, which means that there is no need for you to committ suicide. Christ wants us all to go to heaven after leaving earth. So do not believe in all the lies about no heaven and no hell. Heaven and hell is real. You have to believe it.

I think that people who commit suicide are usually experiencing a terrible mental illness that they are no longer capable of dealing with. It drives them to the point of wanting to take their own life. I think of suicide as the illness killing them, not themself. Otherwise, it would make sense for us to blame cancer patients for getting cancer, not being strong enough to go into remission, and then dying and going to hell.
I think everyone has an opportunity to get to heaven. Especially those fighting personal issues like mental illness, which must be very difficult and sometimes undiagnosed.
So yes, I think that some suicide victims can go to heaven. Probably not all of them do. It would depend on the situation.

I do not have a mental illness. My 18 year old son died from complications from pneumonia. For 57 days I was by his side day and night. We have always been extrememly close, and my heart, life, everything is in such agony, I wish to commit suicide in order to be with him. I have a loving husband and 15 year old son as well. I think they should be just fine without me, for I am not here for them mentally anyway. I long to be with Bryant.

Yes, at the moment they are sent to Limbo or to Hell. I think the catholic church are lightening thier stance on this one though and they had a meeting earlier this year and came to the conclusion that if you commit suicide then your life must have been in some sort of turmoil and this absolves you of responsibility. I guess that no one really knows the truth until they try though.

Well the bible says that we have no right to end any life;including ours, therefore suicide is just as bad as murder and so i seriously doubt the chances of one who has commited suicide of getting to heaven

It's hard to say. I can see how God would have a hard time with allowing someone who took the life that he gave them into his own hands into heaven, but God is forgiving and mericiful at the same time. The question is where does that mercy stop, and does it?

Some do, some don't.
No one knows who is going to Heaven.
God already has His chosen ones.
We all have a time, and a way, to die. If one attempts suicide, and does not succeed, it was not that person's timke to die. If the person succeeds, then it was time.
And for those who believe in free will: Well, in times of war, a soldier may jump on a grenade to save the lives of his buddies. Thus, suicide.
Still, when one dies, it was the time God alotted.
I hope this goes to voting. I would vote for Michael X as I truely believe he has the right answer.
as for many of you who says the Bible says it is wrong, tell me exactly where it says not to take your own life? Murder is the killing of another. Not yourself.
