Good writing is dependent on a number of factors. Because writing is basically an eye hand coordination thing, being properly rested and not being too hopped up on caffeine, or other stimulants is important. Some supplements that can improve eye/hand coordination are high in omega 3 fatty acids, B vitamins, and trace elements that are important for brain function. If your a regular drinker and like things like beer and whiskey, stop. Alcoholic beverages wreak havoc on your nervous system and ability to wright well. Most of all, practice makes perfect. Try just sitting down and writing what ever comes into your head with out being too concerned about quality at first. Pay attention to your posture and body mechanics. It's amazing how much proper posture makes a difference in writing. You should feel relaxed and comfortable when you wright.
Some people are pressured into being right handed early in life and learn to wright with the wrong hand when they have dominant right brain activity. You may be one of these people and don't know it. It's hard to learn if you are, and the only way to really know is to learn to wright with your other hand. I went through this change in 7th grade. practice makes perfect. So break out the pen and have at it dude.

Unfortunately there's no quick cure. My handwriting used to be abysmal - I found the only way to improve it was to take conscious care and write a little slower. Life is short, sure, but those Quality of Communication marks can make the difference!

My handwriting is pretty awful too, because of arthritis. The only thing I can do to make it the best possible is to use a good, ergonomic pen, they are a bit thicker and with a rubber band, and write in a kind of blend of script and print, separating most of the letters. If you become a doctor it will be alright :)
