i am the only one that thinks fat people should pay more at buffets and smaller people less . i think their should be a weigh in scale and if you weigh less you pay less like little kids they don't each much . but you get a 350 pound fat person their gonna eat alot . why should i being 5'8 and weigh 150 lbs pay the same amount as a fat person 5'8 and weights 380lbs , what do u think?

It makes sense to me. I think the restaurants with the buffets include this in their business plan. They do eat a lot more or seem to. Plate after plate after plate. I find buffets aren't usually that good. Food can be sitting for awhile and devlops bacteria on it. Chinese buffets all taste the same. I never go to them. Quality +++++++++++++++=

I think your question is assinine. A person's size doesn't necessarily equate to how much they will eat. I've seen some skinny guys with multiple plates loaded with food, at buffets all the time...or kids load up plate after plate then leave it to waste.

Get real, and get over your discrimination of overweight people. If you think the price your buffet restaurant charges for a meal, then stop going there. The most fair route would be to charge by what someone takes off the buffet (no matter what their size) but that would require evaluating every plate at every trip a person makes to the food line, and it's impractical...the whole idea of the buffets was for them to be "all you care to eat for one price".

If you think you're being overcharged, then eat someplace that charges you per what you choose off their menu.

The people that own buffets know that the human stomach, even if obese people, is a limited size. Eventually you will get full, even though you have overeaten. That is how they make money, you think you are getting access to lots of free food. By overeating you are putting a burden on your whole system and putting yourself at risk for a lot of health conditions.

Also, I wonder where the meat comes from in these buffets. I am very concerned about quality control for meat. Chickens, for instance, are raised on a diet of garbage and antibiotics and hormones. I can taste it.

That is how the Buffet type restaurants make money--some people eat a lot, some eat very little (including children), but we all pay the same.

From what I have seen from my family restraint, the skinny and athletic types eat a lot more than the fat people. Ask any buffet owner and he will tell you the same thing. Most fat people are fat because they eat bad things and get zero exercise.

I'm sure the restaurant would get a discrimination lawsuit slapped on them real quick and proper like. You wouldn't think that that little Asian guy that outeats everyone at the hotdog eating contest could take on someone 10x his size, so it's not a valid judgement to make just by looking at the outer size of someone.

Err, I'm a girl but I weigh 103 lbs and I'm 5'5 so would you think I eat less than you? But my brother's like 6' and 160, which isn't heavy but is pretty heavy in my family, and I eat way more than him.

Genes play a lot in weight. I know a lot of super skinny people who eat way more than fat people do. Your idea's basically just weight discrimination.

Have you been to the typical buffet lately? There aren't any skinny people there.

But seriously, you are missing the point of the restraunt business. Food is not sold by the pound.

if you are really worried about this - then the three or so times per year that you go to a buffet make sure you missed your last meal - so that you can really "pig out" and sock it to the buffet owner like all the fat people do! haha

I myself think you are very rude. Why do you even care. You, don't pay for their food. I think some people just look for something to gripe about. I believe you are one. Instead of looking on the outside of anyone (yourself included) you need to look at that person on the inside. You know, I'll bet that heavy person will one day be someone important and you will be the same griping person you are. You should be ashamed of yourself. So, I thank you and I will of course God Bless you.
