I don't know if it is an actual deck sold in stores or not, but the symbols used on the cards were unlike any I have ever seen available. I love working with Oracles and would love to get my hands on this one. Has anyone seen anything like it?

IThey're called Zener cards.. I've never seen them used as an oracle before, only in that movie.
I thought it was a little strange that they used them in the movie since they were created as a tool for an experiment. The participant in the study had to guess or use psychic power to know what symbol was on the card that the researcher was holding. It may have started in the 50s.

They are called zener cards. They are used to test people for psychic (mainly telepathy or clairvoyance) abilities. They are not an oracle deck or anything like. Scientist made up those cards as a test only. If you are interested in tarot cards check this site http://learntarot.com/ : there is a course in learning the tarot and you can browse various decks.

Not adding anything new other than what has been said, that those are Zener cards for testing ESP. The cards aren't usually used for divining though.

I think they are called Psi cards. They use them to test psychic ability, you know when you have to visualise the card being held by a person. They are available to buy, cant remember off hand but will get back to you on that.

Yeah, good movie by the way.

I thought that she was using them as someone might use Tarot cards.

No one should have to look at the blue diamond!
