We've had BT ones (Synergy 3105) for a couple of years and had no problem - they've survived abuse by a toddler, so they're pretty robust. Battery life is pretty good too. We have broadband WiFi and haven't had any problems with interference that I've noticed. They used to come with 2,3 or 4 handsets, though it may be that only the quad ones are now freely available (I bet you could get the old ones if you shopped around). They have a 50-number memory.

If you call BT they will rent one to you but, perhaps best to check in Argos,Woolworths,Comet and Currys as you may be able to buy one alot cheaper.
