Both Judaism and Christianity prohibit polyandry (having more than one husband), yet it was practiced to a limited degree in early Mormonism.

There is at least one reference to polyandry in the ancient Hindu scriptures, Mahabharata. Draupadi marries the five Pandava brothers. This ancient text remains largely neutral to concept of polyandry, accepting this as her way of life.

according to Mahabharata (one of the most important epics of Hinduism) Draupadi had five husbands. They were known as Pandavas collectively. Her husband was the King and the rest were his bros. (if u want to know the whole story u can get in touch with me)

Even today in Uttaranchal (a state in india) many women in villages have several husbands. the woman takes one husband plus all her bros and they all live as a family. the children are given the family name and bear no father's name. It is one way to counteract the lack of females in the villages (due to high rate of abortion of female fetus) plus keep the family united and the property of the family intact.

The marriage act in these villages dont fall under the Indian marriage act. These laws are formed by the local panchayat (a committee of learned men in the village)

I hope you believe in God now :)

If memory serves, there were certain Eskimo tribes where a single wife would have multiple husbands (though this was more out of necessity, to make sure that the children would have enough food to eat in the harsh arctic climate)...

That's a pretty stupid statement. Morons and Muslims have nothing to do with God. Neither sect follows the word of God.

None that I know of. The best I can do is Christianity, which gives equal rights to both sexes: each one can have one spouse. If one of them dies, then the other can have another one if they want.

Mormons are not allowed to have more than one wife. Mormons have not practiced polygomy in more than 100 years. IF they try, they are excommunicated from the church.
