Sometimes I feel like its a nice way of people saying that you're not so attractive. I know its a little shallow, but i just want to know.First my boyfriend tells me that he was trying to get with other girls (some friends) at a party when he asked us to hang out again, and that i was the only one who was available (sort of like a last choice thing).Then he tells me that he just thought i was "ok" and was talking to someone else while he was seeing me, and that basically he had been using me. He loves me now because of my personality but the fact that he's not that physically attracted to me, puts me a little down. I dont know how to feel. What do guys mean when they say a girl is just "ok" looking...

Well it means a couple things. Firstly it means that the guy saying it has not learned how to treat a lady yet. Regardless of how a woman looks, the man she is with should always tell her she is beautiful. Even on those days when she isn't, and especially on those days, he should tell her that she is beautiful.
Secondly, it means he thinks you're attractive, but not the most attractive girl in the room. (which again, I consider rather rude to say to a woman) But anyway, some examples perhaps might help. Remember the TV show Friends? Monica would be considered 'OK', while Jen Aniston is beautiful. Both are attractive women, but Jen sparkles. But when what's his name fell in love with Monica, she became beautiful to him. Get it?

DialM4speed said it exactly right. From all of the things you typed, this guy does not love you - he has "settled" with you, for the time being, because something better hasn't come along. He chose you as a last choice thing? he said you were ok but was talking to someone else while seeing you? Jeez - what on Earth makes you think this child loves you now? Why would you even accept someone who was so open & blatant about looking for another person to "do" but stringing you along so he'd have someone there? Dump this JERK & find a man who is interested in you from the beginning, not as a last resort, not as a last choice. You deserve better & he deserves a whack in the testes!!!!! Move On - Please!!!

When i say that it just means OK not to much into the person but easy on the eyes but guys they tend to shut off all emotions when in a big group and just say dumb things, then comes a question for you do you like him? If not don't worry yeah it hurts when ppl don't say nice things to one or i just like your personality makes one unsure of one self. Like i tell my niece know that to someone you are the most beautiful person and no matter what any one tells you that someone is out their. she is in her teens cute but not sure of her self. But yeah he didn't look at you that way before but maybe now he does.

I think you answered your own question, it probably means he doesn't find you that attractive, and that he is a scum bag, why would he tell you that in the first place, that is sooo cold, you can do better then him, i understand you said he loves you now cause of your personality... but you need some one who respects you and treats you like a queen... Anyway your happy with your life then whatever, but read your question over and you will find the answer... take care!

The word "ok looking" from a guy's perspective simply means as far as beauty is concern the babe is not bad. It should be noted that other factors are not considered in this regard. Perhaps the character, the physique etc.

I think that is horrible. What is ok is stunning to another person. I would question why he would tell you this as it is very rude and immature. I would feel hurt if I was you. Get a new boyfriend who really wants and loves you

Honey, unfortunately it means that you will do for now, until he finds a replacement. So dump him and you find the replacement. You deserve to be treated better.. and if he loves you like you say he does, then you would be the most beautiful person in the world to him.

Beautiful, pretty, hot and cute all mean different things. Being 'OK Looking' means theres nothing ugly about you and you are 'OK' for looking.

it means he was hoping for a non-attainable Jenna Jammeson look alike, but you were "ok" enough to do. It means he was being a dog and shallow.... don't take it too personally....

I alway wondered that as well. Is it the same as when a guy says your "cute" i think thats a way of saying your not really beautifull but your "cute". ... I just want to know what they really think
