How do you know animals dream?
The human brain is MUCH larger and MUCH more complex than any other animal's brain.
Humans are above animals because we are above animals. It is not because I think so nor because the Bible says so. It is just a fact, wake up and look around.
We DO NOT do our eating, drinking, sleeping, dreaming, farting, crapping nor intercourse the same as animals. If you do you are an idiot.

Just kidding, you're right, I don't think we above animals in any way other than on the food chain and intelligence.
I don't know why, but some people think we are the same person with two identities, how bizarre. I guess some people do that, but not me.

Human beings can learn to eternity although they are born knowing nothing.
Animals are born with all the knowledges they need and do not learn much of anything.

well, i don't see animals improving their environment like we do, i do not see animals having the same type of brain functions as we do, and i don't see an anmial doing advanced math, or logic...all that i see animals doing is eating, pooping, screwing, and sleeping, and playing when they get a chance...that is it...no invention or inovation, no creativity...no chaning their environment...so, just by those logical conclusions...we can derive that we are higher and more complex than animals...

Our brain has an extra layer that allows us to ponder. We still have the other two layers, the mammalian layer and the reptilain too. We are just animals with more brain power.

We are similar to animals in so many ways.
However, even you can agree there are a few differences.
e.g.
Animals operate on instinct.
We can BUILD on knowledge.
We have potential to reason.
Dogs and birds don't consider God stuff, we do.
So, let's agree, there are a couple of differences.
