When we were younger (under 18), the age gap was a huge deal. However, as we grow older, the maturity kicks in. That's more important than the age. It doesn't matter about age once you hit 25 or so. Again, it's about maturity. So, a 25 year old dating a 18 year old is not good. People will look down on you. However, if you go the other way, a 25 year old dating a 34 year old is fine.

Speaking from experience, yes age does matter, I married a woman 12 years older than myself and over the next 5 years the age gap became a chasm that eventualy ended the relationship. My advise to you would be to hold off from any strong commitments. Now after some time(6months to a year or more) when the sex thing starts to wear off,, and it will wear off, and you find that you have a special connection to each other, like religion, or hunting, or art,,, whatever it is, this shared passion might get you through a lifetime,,, but trust me, joint passion in the bedroom will only get you a divorce in a couple of years.
Hope this helps

Age really doesn't matter as long as you have some things in common. I was 22 and dated a guy that was 12 years older than me, but I was more mature than he was. Also when I was 27 I dated a guy that was 46, and I was also more mature than he was. I think a lot of women choose to date/marry guys that are older then themselves because men take longer to mature.

My wife is 13 years younger and there is some frustration on both our parts but we still love each other. If she is older be prepared for her to refer to things you don't know about and to already have experienced more in life. She might come off as a know it all to you. Not what she wants to appear though. On her part, she will be frustrated because you lack some of the shared references to events that cause her to be the way she is.

I don't really know if it is legal are you 21? I am 13 years older than the person I am involved in. It has worked for us but it depends if you both want the same things. Good luck

You know what, if a man that is 100 years old makes you happy, than go for it. Love has no age. If you know when you look into their eyes that this is the one you are most happiest with, than tear it up. You have found what everyone out their is looking for, the love of their life. Dont let anyone tell you its wrong.
