I am a teacher and use several CD's provided by textbook companies to access their resources. I hate having to keep finding the CD's and putting them in each time I want to use them. When you install the CD, it only copies the installation files onto the computer. The data is left on the CD and you must put the CD in each time to ask it.

They are designed that way so you cannot access the information without the CD, if you could run the data off your computer without the cd, it would give you the ability to put it on 1000 different computers and you would only have to buy one copy.

If the the cd did not give you an option of installing all of the files onto the hard drive, then you might be at a dead end.

Sorry my answer isn't more helpful, just the facts.

The best way I have found is by creating a virtual drive.
A program like Alcohol 120% http://www.alcohol-soft.com/
will create the virtual drives you need to run the programs without the CD's.

they do that for copy protection.

use a program like blindwrite to make an image of the disks and then use a program like deamon tools to mount the image.

deamon creates a virtual CD drive that you mount images in, alcohol works too.

Depends....

Are you using windows? If you are, you can crack the cds or use alcohol 120 or 60. Just google alcohol 120/60 and you'll find it.
