We are soul children, divine and eternal; ordering chaos of minds; enjoying entertainment derived from bodies that live and die. Fractal infernal temporal seed body decomposes. Divine eternal soul is then free in the infinite love of the spirit to again enjoy the entertainment derived from the drama of life and death.

Ec 9:10 - Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work or device or knowledge or wisdom in the grave where you are going.
Ec 12:7 - Then the dust will return to the earth as it was, And the spirit will return to God who gave it.
Ec 9:5 - For the living know that they will die; But the dead know nothing, And they have no more reward, For the memory of them is forgotten.
Then it would depend on whether or not the person was a true Christian. Christians will be resurrected when Christ returns to reign on the earth, non-Christians will be resurrected at the end of his reign.
Revelation 20:4-6 - Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished....Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.
Revelation 20:7, 12, 15 - Now when the thousand years have expired,...And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.... And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.

The answer is: nothing.
This is based on Ecclesiastes 9:5,10 which describes the condition of the dead.
We simply do not exist, just like we didn't exist before we were conceived.
John 5:28 refers to a time when God will 're-make', or resurrect all dead ones, for a better life right here on this planet.
Psalm 115:16, Psalm 37:29

Three components to every person:
Physical
Mental
Spiritual
Therefore the physical stops functioning immediately, the mental or pyscological component may continue functioning for 10-20 minutes, and the spiritual will live on afterwards.
Think of when you go to sleep, you are not aware of what is really happening in the physical sense but your spirit never really sleeps, thats why dreams take place and thats when you tap into the spiritual world and you really have no control over what happens ! Well thats kind of like death we wont be aware physically that we die but our spirits will never die, but what actually happens to them is a different topic, maybe for another day !

There are various thoughts about that...but the truth is that we won't know until we die...that's the only way to be certain...
Good reason to make the most of this life though, isn't it? If it happens that there is nothing after this life (and that is the most likely scenario, we die and that's that) then don't waste one moment of this life...make it the best it can be...

if you mean what happen to the Body then it is Decomposition. Either becomes ashes(if you burn), Stool (if eaten by insects) or mud (what ever is left)..
If you mean what happens to the soul, then Soul gets another place to live depending upon his activities in this life and his desires.
If you mean what happens to the relatives - they generally first cry, and then curse or miss him..
If you mean what happens to the friends - they make a toast and make more Friends ..

Body -> decomposes
Soul -> returns to the creator who would give it a new body. Every soul would be subjected to either reward or judgement based on the life in the earth.

well, everybody believes different, but but i myself say that your flesh goes back to the earth it came from and your soul lies dormant. that is unless your spirit roams the earth still. but your soul lies dormant until judgement day. then everyone will be awakened and judged. some being taken by god, some being damned to hell. alot of people may say i'm crazy but thats how i believe it is.

If people knew the answer there would be no debating on religion or killing anybody over their religious beliefs.
