One world, one country, one government. How much expenditure over arms and army could be saved. Millions of Rupees so saved could be used for mankind, people and making happy the whole world. The World Government may take care of all provices (countries) and there will be no war. No VISA, no passport. You can enjoy and visit the world as your own country. Like the one Yahoo, one Google, and the whole world is united. Someone raises hands for help on Yahoo Answer and the whold comes to his rescue. Can we at least imagine our World as a single country.? Please express your feelings.

It'll never happen. There is too much diversity in the world. Our form of government is unacceptable to other nations and they would reject us. Example Iraq, Iran, etc. America would not tolerate other nations forms of government. Religion would be a giant mess with the Middle East. We'd all have to convert to Islam which will never happen. We will not tolerate any loss of freedom. It's a nice thought but not reality
Who would be in charge? Which nation would dictate the government? Would China, Germany, France, United States? What a power struggle that would be.

Right now we live in a closed universe so territory is an issue.
If - When we make true attempts to leave the planet and colonize the rest of the solar system or galaxy, that is when we'd have an open universe and territory would not be an issue and we could consider a one world government.

Definitely impossible. One government. There will be too many people who would be grabbing for such kind of power. There are too many kinds of people, each has its own personality, culture and language. It is like putting all kinds of fish, may it be a goldfish or a piranha in one aquarium.

We can't get even on country to agree. Let alone all of them. It has never happened and it never will. People generally don't like each other.
