Because I can do no other.
If I possessed no belief in Him who saved me, If I possessed no hope in His promises, If I possessed no promise of His return, I would have no reason for living.
Yes, I believe in God.
I see God every day. In grand daughter's smile, the sunrise, the sunset, the wind, the flowers. He is all around us. You just have to look.
I can define Him as easily as you can define sound to a deaf person. He just is. When you believe you know it. That is why it is called faith.
I have heard Him many times. Never the audible voice, but no doubt it was God. Just one quick example. About ten years ago I was driving down the road. There was a fairly large cardboard box in the middle of the road. Now I like a little sport and I admit I have lead in my shoes, so I thought," Gonna bust that box wide open." I distinctly heard a voice say ,"NO!" so I swerved to miss it. I looked in my rear view mirror and watched a toddler crawl out of the box. I locked my car up and pulled over. Walked him into the fenced yard he came from, locked the gate. I was trembling. Couldn't thank God enough.

Yes, I do.. I believe that the complexity and the miracle of the universe and of things within it, like the human body are such that it simply could not happen by some accident or explosion or other action. I believe that life on earth can't truly be all that there is - that another place awaits us. I believe that there is something within us (something that God has given us) that knows the difference between right and wrong. Lastly, I believe that at the end of life as we know it, to have believed in God and his existance was what has given me hope in a world that can be very cold and cruel. If I was wrong at the end- then I believed in something and lived my life in a good and meaningful way. And if I was right, I believe that heaven is a beautiful and wonderous place.

As I grew up I always heard of God & so there was a God to me. I still believe that there is a God because I've went on without Him in my life as much as He should be & things weren't the same. When I have God in my heart & I remember to thank Him, things feel much better. Yeah, life is still full of struggles & well, all kinds of crap that I don't understand & I don't even understand how God is, but I just know He is, because it's just the only thing that feels like it can be. & I hear & see of so many little miracles each & every day, so that just keeps confirming my belief. Yeah, there's a lot of bad too, but it keeps getting worse, it all makes sense if you have ever taken time to consider all the things people say about God & the bible. I know this probably isn't a very solid answer that you would like but you can't explain it like that. Like I've said before, if you just keep refusing to believe, you just don't feel it.

On the surface this would seem to be a simple yes, no answer but for me its not quite a slam dunk. I was raised Catholic and I do not believe in that kind of God or any other associated with guilt or shame. Actually, that probably eliminates most organized religions for me and there God. I have resorted to "Foxhole" praying, not recently but push come to shove I think it would happen again. So, do I believe in God? Mostly no but a little yes.

sure. in case you imagine about our origins, there are purely 2 thoughts. Evolution or creation. i'm able to't comprehend why human beings believe in evolution, because then I ask, "nicely the position did the first cellular come from?" Evolutionists say they could't believe that existence would in basic terms "look", yet then they distinctly a lot must believe that contained with regards to the first creature to conform and stuff. So i imagine there must be a author. also the truth that we are no longer animals and that incontrovertible truth that we've the skill to make techniques and interpret our own techniques is in basic terms techniques boggling. also look at nature, each and every thing has a purpose, distinctly a lot as if it became "designed" that way. We breath in Oxygen and exhale CO2, which the flowers inhale CO2 and exhale Oxygen. For the evolutionists, at what factor did the organic world grow to be solid for another? both are codependent, one can not exist with out the different, and that i imagine it is yet another reason that in basic terms screams the existence of God.

yes- I was brought up be the Bible and I believe every word in it. God helps me in everything I do, because I turned my life over to Him.
He changed the way I look at myself , others, and has helped me to get my mind off myself, because I know He has my life in His hands.
My days are already planned---so I can enjoy my life, while God watches after me, and gives me blessings I don't deserve. The minute I asked Jesus into my heart, God just took over and now I have peace that passes understanding, and joy in my soul, and the very contentment the Bible talks about.
I hope you have it, too.
I'm with you, Quiet Warrior. He IS an AWESOME GOD, isn't He?
Also with YOU, Mary Beth---"If you keep refusiong to believe it, you don't feel it"--that says it ALL!

Yes.
And, for whatever reason, I find it hard to explain. I just do. I'm an adult and I make my own decisions, and it wasn't really shoved down my throat as a kid. I believe in God and the Bible 100%. If others can't accept that, or think I'm stupid, that's their prerogative. But, as for me, I choose to believe.

Most of the time, but it is hard. I believe in God when I look at my children. When I look at the way they have grown, and all their 'parts' work, I think that is amazing.

I believe in God because it feels natural to me. I know that my soul was over there before. I pray because it relaxes me. I don't sweat the small things.
